What is your definition of flor de baja? We suggest: if a product passes its lifecycle, its flor de baja. the lifecycle of the product can be set and managed from here: .
to prevent flor de baja, add an extra day, or multiple days, to your life span, this allows you to apply the product to future orders.
If the lifespan needs to be set back, please make sure you have no inventory on the last day or rotation.
If you don't touch the lifespan and there's no demand for the SKU (bunch), the bunch will end up being flor de baja. That means, the bunch ID will no longer be visible and recognized as inventory, and that results that the bunch will not longer get packed or sold. However, it's possible that the quality of those flowers is still good and that your policy is to re-sell those as a B-type of product. There are two options for managing that:
You check the flowers, re-process those into a new package type, and sell them as a B-type of quality. In this case, the physical aspects of the bunch change, the bunch is no longer looking the same as the original one, because of wrapping the flowers into a new lamina or sleeve.
We suggest that if the B-type of the quality bunch is been repacked, into a completely different package type, you use SKUs with a REP (reprocessed) as the package type name. example: Akito 50cm A 25st QSA, becomes Akito 50cm A 25th REP. With that, you can identify very clear your inventory and reporting.
The advantage of using a different package type is that you can check stem by stem the quality of the product, and make sure that your resell is good. You can differentiate very clearly to your client that what you sell, is not been sold with the original standard product type characteristics, so you protect your original brand. And fiscally in the cold room, the bunches are easy to find because they have been placed into a new type of lamina & sleeve.
But if you don't repack the bunch, and use the original package as a B-type of product, and you only want to exit, relabel and re-sell it, we advise you to still use a new SKU name that is very recognizable for inventory, sales and reporting usage. However as the package type is the name, other elements can be used, like cut-stage or the variety name. example: Akito 50cm A 25st QSA, becomes R Akito 50cm B 25st QSA
If the original package gets used to resell as a B-type of product. It is important to place the B-type of bunches fiscally in the cold room in a separate area from the original SKUs
recognizable inventory for sales and post-harvest
inventory (SKUs) that can be assigned to specific segments (markets) for specific customers (shipping customers).
possibility to differentiate the pricing of the original SKU and the B-type of product.
excellent sales reporting possibilities between the original SKU and B-type of product.
this method provides flor de baja reporting, the original SKU didn't get sold on time, which could have generated more revenue for the company.
no tracking and tracing are possible, since the bunch got a completely new ID that's not related to the original one.
If a bunch passed its lifecycle, it's possible to reprocess the bunch without exiting and without using S2 for relabeling. This is a PH process, in which PH gives each bunch a quality check, and by scanning the original ID, they give the bunch a second life cycle, the system will give a new sticker, with a new SKU name, being placed in day 0, but it keeps the original ID!
