How to Setup - PRINTER

This Page shows how configure a Zebra Printer device and configure the Firefox browser in a PC with Windows

Printer Setup

In the device settings, the Zebra printer must be selected

For the stations we always recommend to use Windows devices for better operations of the modules and the printers.

ZEBRA Old Models Setup

The following instructions is in PRINTER MANAGER for WINDOWS.

Open Printer Manager
Select the Zebra and mark as DEFAULT PRINTER
Right click and select Print Configuration
In the Options Tab, change the Width and Heigth according to your label measurements
Change the Paper Format to centimeters

In Advance Setup Tab, define if your printer works in Thermal Direct or Thermal Transfer

In STOCKs Tab, select a new Format
Give a Name to the new format, and save. It takes the information of the setup already entered

ZEBRA NEW Models Setup

Open Printer Manager
Select the Zebra and mark as DEFAULT PRINTER
Right click and select Print Configuration
In the PAGE Tab, change the Width and Heigth according to your label measurements

In PRINT OPTIONS tab, define if your printer works in Thermal Direct or Thermal Transfer

In UNIT tab, change to centimeters

FIREFOX is required for Station 2 and Station 3. The user must be use only that browser for PRINT any label

Firefox Setup

Lastets version of FIREFOX don't enable by default have the CONFIGURAR PAGINA menu option

To enable this option:

Open a new tab
Type: about: config, and then enter

Accept the Risk and Continue

Type: print.show_page_setup_menu
Double click to change to TRUE

Go back and Click in FILE, then select PAGE SETUP

Select Margenes y Encabezado, Pie de pagina
Change the margins to:
Superior: 0.1
Izquierda: 0.0
Derecha: 0.0
Inferior: 0.1

In Encabezados y Pies de Pagina, change all the options to BLANK
Then click on ACEPTAR

If that configuration doesn't work, please leave all the margins in 0.0

After finishing the configuration, we must go to station 2 and press Control + P on the keyboard of our computer to save the configurations in the browser and to set as default the printer.

We are going to see a popup tab, in which we must select the Zebra printer.

This is done so that the browser takes the printer settings by default.

Please hit "print" and the configuration will be saved in the browser.
